Sorry, NO Trick or Treating!

Halloween can be great fun for kids, dressing up and door knocking to collect sweets, but it can be a stressful time for you and your dog when your beloved canine companion reacts negatively to people coming to the door and there are sounds of excitement from outside.

It mostly has become recognised now that if you don’t display a pumpkin or other seasonal decorations, you won’t be visited by Trick or Treaters, however, there will always be those that continue to visit every property they come to.

You can avoid being disturbed by simply displaying a sign on your door saying ‘No Trick or Treating’. Turn up the tele or radio to mask external noise and keep your dog occupied with toys, treat dispensers or anything that will receive a positive response.

I hope you have a happy Halloween!
